Lexus GS Fiberglass Subwoofer Box PART 1 Making a Fiberglas subwoofer box for a Lexus GS How to build a Fiberglass Subwoofer enclosure (fleece/resin stage) In this video i will take you through the steps on making a fiberglass subwoofer enclosure for 2 subs Custom fiberglass enclosure in Honda Civic Enclosure subwoofer box in honda civic. Subscribe, comment and like! Nismo 370z – My First Attempt at Fiberglass Subwoofer Enclosures – 10″ Kicker Install I am always coming up with little projects in this was my latest. I am not much of a youtube poster but I thought I would share it because when I searched around for ideas on what to do for subs in my 370z I didn’t really find a whole lot. I saw some really nice enclosures that filled the entire hatch area and I found some that use the spare tire area as well but neither of them worked for me. I drive my cars and I knew the minute I filled my spare tire well, I would be stranded somewhere with a flat. This was my solution. I read a bit and watched some youtube video’s on how to work with fiberglass. I thought maybe some other Z owners my like this approach too because it still leaves the limited trunk space you have available and still gives you a clean install/sounds great. This video is about the concept of fibergalss enclosures in a 370z and my actual project – not a how to video. If you want to tackle this yourself, there are some really helpful videos on here to help you tackle it.I thought it was quite fun actually. I am kind of itching to try something a little more complex now. I gained a whole new respect for these people who do amazing things with fiberglass. It’s really impressive how some of these people make beautiful dashboards and door panels right in their own garages and driveways. They definitely have my respect after going thru this little project. Update: The materials were listed in the comments section in response to a question but folks keep asking anyway so here is the list from the comment: “I bought alot of fleece because i didnt have a clue how much i would need – but i overkilled it. Other than that a pack of cedar shims, a gallon of resin, 4 packages of fiberglass right off the shelf hook, 2 cans of truck bed liner, 1 can of primer, 1 can of black spray paint, a gallon of bondo w/hardner, some spreaders (you go thru quite a few – forget cleaning them), and a couple gold plated speaker terminals. I think thats everything.” Lastly: I did this project because the stock speakers are bose garbage and all this car comes with are 2 door speakers because it’s a numbered track edition car. I know these kenwood speakers are cheap – I only drive this car a few months a year and frankly, I could care less if you can hear my coming from 4 miles away. I just wanted a little base in the car. 2 doors speakers just do not cut it. I found speakers which weren’t free air and required the least amount of air for the least amount of money because I knew how small the enclosures were going to be. These speakers required 1 sq foot – winner, winner, chicken dinner. Are they going to win a sound competition ? Not a chance. Do they sound better than the stock bose 2 speaker door system without adding alot of weight to the car ? You betcha ! That was the whole purpose for me and I am happy with the result. I see alot of comments bashing my choice of speakers but this was exactly what I was after so I am content with my choice. Thanks for all the positive comments too. I am still waiting for someone to post a video showing what they did after watching this ! Has anyone tackled a similar project ? There has to be someone ! fibre glass subwoofer box for a car just to let every1 no,this is the first time iv tried to build a subwoofer box how to make a subwoofer box with fibre glass How to make a Fiberglass Subwoofer Enclosure This is my first attempt at making a fibreglass subwoofer enclosure, took a while but I like it.
